Osiris: A Washington Monument?

On this day in the year 1800, the House of Representatives suggested the building of a pyramid, 100 feet square at the base and "of proportional height."  The notion that a pyramid would best represent the idea of George Washington.   Hence, in accordance with Masonic practices, construction of the obelisk began on July 4, 1848, with a ceremonial laying of the enormous cornerstone, which had been donated by the Mason Thomas Symington who owned the quarries from which the monument's marble was taken.  The ceremony was conducted by Benjamin French, wearing the Masonic apron and sash George Washington had worn when he laid the cornerstone of the Capitol building in 1793.

Some say the obelisk was chosen because America wanted to look like it had been around for awhile, or as other's have suggested, "put down ancient roots" by chosing the ancient Egyptian symbol.   I don't know, looks pretty much like a male phallic symbol to me from all the male energy that founded this country.   Unfortunately, I have to break the news to ya'll here:  it's Pagan!  More precisely, Pan, the goat god of sensuality.  The word ‘obelisk’ literally means ‘Baal’s shaft’ or Baal’s organ of reproduction.”

Another story links the obelisk to a different phallic myth – Osiris’ golden phallus.

Osiris was a king of Egypt who married his sister Isis. His brother Set wished to usurp the throne and so plotted his death. He tricked Osiris into climbing into a golden chest. As soon as he was inside, Set nailed down the lid and flung the chest into the Nile. It was carried off to Byblos in Syria where it came to rest against a small Tamarisk tree or Acasia tree, with the dead Osiris still inside. Isis found out what Set had done to Osiris, so she set off to find her husband. A vision led her to Byblos, where she recovered his body and took it back to Egypt.

Set stole it again and tore it into fourteen pieces, which he scattered throughout Egypt to prevent Osiris from coming to life again. Isis recovered all but one of the pieces – the penis – and gave Osiris a fit burial. Their son, Horus, avenged him by slaying Set. Another son, Anubis, resurrected Osiris with the ‘lion grip.’

Having triumphed over the grave, Osiris now reigns as king and judge of the so called dead. The piece of Osiris that Isis never recovered was the penis, which Set had thrown into the Nile where it was eaten by fish. Ever resourceful, Isis manufactured an artificial organ (the golden phallus) around which the Egyptians eventually established a cult or festival they could pay tribute to.

From this it is a small step to the conclusion that the obelisk was itself meant to be a phallic symbol.

Whether of Osiris, Baal, or fertility in general, it was a representation of fatherhood and patriarchy.

While the idea that the obelisk is a representation of the phallus may be a story that seems stranger than fiction, when you think of Washington as the founding father of the United States, and the obelisk being a representation of fatherhood/patriarchy, it makes a lot of sense.

In 1908 the U.S. Congress adopted a law making the phrase "In God We Trust" obligatory on certain American coins.   It was placed there to replace the socialistic phrase put their by the framers of our constitution: "Out of Many, One" -- E Pluribus Unum.

Yes, it wasn't until 1908 that the political use of the word God found its way into politics.  So, the next time someone tells you this is Gods country and holds up a dollar bill to probe it, tell them to open a f*&king history book, bozo.

Pictures of Chairman Mao and other May 16 events to attend.

So they want to do away with public school education.  Ever wonder why?  Think about this:

....on this day in in 1966, after nearly starving China to death with his failed "Great Leap Forward," Mao Zedong unleashed a brand-new misery upon his long-suffering people: a purification of communism meant to destroy every last vestige of ancient culture of western influence.  Worse, this so-called Cultural Revolution was enforced by teenagers, transformed into Red Guards--million of whom, reporter Robert Elegant wrote, "stalked across the vast nation like hordes of enraged soldier ants."

The traditional respect for elders was turned upside down in the decade-long spiral into insanity that began on May 16, 1966, with mere kids wielding ultimate control over life or death, personal property and human dignity.  With an approving wink from the supreme leader, it was a power sorely abused.  Zhang Hongbing, whose denunciation of his own mother led to her summary execution in 1970, was just one of the millions of blindly intoxicated teenagers left with the wreckage of their actions when China finally sobered up after Chairman Mao's death in 1976.

"I see her in my dreams," Zhang said in 2013, "just as young as she was then.  I knell on the floor, clutching her hands, for fear she will disappear.  'Mom,' I cry, 'I beg your forgiveness!"  But she doesn't respond.  Never one has she answered me.  This is my punishment."
Bad Days in History, pg 184
Of course, liberals like you, me, and John Lennon know:  "If you go carrying pictures of Chariman Mao, you aint going to make it with anyone, anyhow...."

Don't you know it's going to be alright!

Revolution (lyrics)

You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out
Don't you know it's gonna be
All right, all right, all right
You say you got a real solution
Well, you know
We'd all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We're doing what we can
But if you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is brother you have to wait
Don't you know it's gonna be
All right, all right, all right
You say you'll change the constitution
Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well, you know
You better free you mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao
You ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow
Don't you know it's gonna be
All right, all right, all right
All right, all right, all right
All right, all right, all right
All right, all right

So today is May 16.   Let's do the "people's" math for this day:
Voltaire
In 1717 on this day, French writer Francois-Marie Arouet (known to you and me as: Voltaire) was imprisoned in the Bastille in Paris for his satirical attacks on politics and religion.  After a year in the French prison, he continued his epistles and was forced to flee to England.

Andrew Jackson
Fast forward to the year 1868, the Northern Democrats are still pissed about the Civil War and so want the South to pay retribution.   Abe Lincoln had decided not to go along with the plan to totally destroy the South, and so was assassinated.   Andrew Johnson was his Vice President and considered to be a weak drunk,  and so the Democrats tried to force him to do their dirty work and repeal Abe Lincoln's decision not to prosecute the South for war crimes and have them sell their land to payback the North’s war debt.  Lincoln, as well as Jackson, knew this would not be good for the "United" states, and historically, they were right; however, the Democrats tried to impeach Jackson to have their way and so had a vote of impeachment on this day in 1868.  Fortunately for having the great united country we have today was saved by one vote.  Yes, somewhere in the madness, one lone senator stood up to the madness.   The John McCain of the day.
Also on this day in 1943 the Warsaw Ghetto uprising ended as Nazi soldiers gained control of Warsaw's Jewish ghetto in World War II.  Disease and starvation had killed thousands every month in the enclave following the German occupation.  The uprising claimed many thousands of Warsaw Jews, compared to the loss of about 300 German soldiers.
Then, on this day in 1968, in Paris, the "left" felt the burn and stood up against the government by demanding educational reform and healthcare!   Sound familiar?  It should, it is the same f*&king thing we should be demanding on the streets today!   Get with it before they complete their dumbing down of us and we forget we ever had a choice.

Do it, now!   How?   Just put it on your heart and mind, the rest will follow: as the Dali Lama says, “If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquiteo.”

Liberals with guns and crazy white people.

Think our government is out-of-control today, doing what it wants with no respect for the law?   Even the most Republican of Republican attorneys I know feel this... as they should:  trump speaks badly of our judges he doesn't agree with (even the Republican ones); he trashes a Republican hero in the name of John McCann who served in Vietnam for our country, but because he got "caught," draft dodger Donald Trump makes fun of him.  Not only this, he has admittedly called Republicans "idiots who would vote for anymore who said the right things," and they are surely proving him correct on this.   However, let me take you back in time, back to 1856 when the Gold Rush in California made San Francisco and its officials money-grabbing-law-breakers and the solution the people came up for this:  they formed a vigilante to combat the robbers and other crimes.  Some offenders were hanged, and others escorted out of town.

Hmmmm, maybe this is what we need.   Maybe liberals should start buying guns too!

What a wonderful world it would be.

"Too often the story of the southern Negro deals exclusively with those who are time," wrote Roy Wilkins in Crisis magazine.  "But there are some...who dare to speak out and, if necessary, to act....Southern white people, almost unanimously, characterize such Negroes as 'crazy.'"

Such was the case on May 15, 1936, in Gordonsville, Virginia.  William Wales and his sister Cora, both in their sixties, held off a lynch mob of five thousand for six hours until a gasoline-soaked torch tossed into the house killed them and burned their home to the ground.  Gory details of the siege and subsequent killing of two "crazy" blacks filled local newspapers. Wilkins patched together a truer picture form Associated Press wires and the accounts of area residents.  But, what really transcends the brutality in Gordonsville is the courage under fire that the Wales and so many other African Americans have displayed at such terrible times.  From Wilkin's editorial:

Impatiently the mob waited for hours for the embers of the house to cool.  Them, the killers rushed in and chopped up the two bodies for souvenirs to carry home.  The story behind the slaughter is that...efforts had been made over a period of thirteen years to oust (the Wales) from their property.  They refused to sell.  The city condemned a part of their land to expand the cemetery.  (After) their final refusal to vacate their home...local whites were forced to fall back upon the time-worn device of dragging some white woman into the quarrel and charging Wales with threatening her, "(a charge) she vigorously denied--after Wales was dead.  Anyway, the sheriff swore out a warrant charging Wales with lunacy.  When the sheriff appeared to serve the warrant he was shot and killed.
Make America Great Again!
some white people...are shamed by Gordonsville.  They know there is more to the story than the killing of a sheriff and the destruction of a "crazy Negro."  Yes, the Crisis defends William and Cora Wales.  We think we understand them...We think we know the real criminals in these situations everywhere.  Crazy?  Wales was not crazy.  The two sane people in all that array were in the house.  It was five thousand outside who were mad.

Chinese Carrier
Indonesia Bomb Results
In today's news: Chinese launches a new aircraft carrier, another Isis suicide bomber blows up three Christian churches in Indonesia, and Donald Trump relocates the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

Trump Writing on Wall in Jerusalem
These are just three of the many signs that a war is about to happen from one, Donald Trump's egotistic stupidity, two: the Republican/Democrat Greedy war-and-oil machines that surrounds him.  "Profits baby, profits!"  say the war machine.  "I got balls for brains," says Donald Trump.

Shit, even UFO conspiracy believers have found proof that extraterrestrials are about to join in on the battle with alien tank from the moon!
Today is May 14th, 2018, in case you think we were just time-warped back to 1940.  Interesting enough, a lot of what was happening in the 1930 before WWII are happening now.

To make matters worse, it was on this date in 1948 that the state of Israel was created by the waving of Winston Churchill's magic wong.

No matter what you've been told, the true reasons for wars is the struggle for markets, resources, and land, combined with tariffs, trade wars, currency wars, dumping, combined with Extreme Nationalism.  Here's the formula:

Resources/Land+Tariffs/Dumping+Extreme Nationalism=WAR.

We are seeing all of this today:  China is dumping, USA is doing the tariff dance, and Israel and the fanatical Christian are stealing land that doesn't belong to them.

Combine this with the fact that Nationalism has gone crazy from England's, "Brexit exit," to Donald Trump's "Make America White Again," messages, there is little doubt that the powerful forces in the world have gone back to a nationalism not seen since Japan's Hideki Tojo ordered the attack on Pearl Harbor in his "Make Japan Great Again," war; and Italy's Benito Mussolini began his war on the free press by calling it, "Fake News,"; and Germany's  Adoofus Hitler decided to "Build A Wall" around a concentration camp and deport undesirable Germans to his Christian God/Satan....  I'll be damn if it isn't happening again right before our eyes.

Fortunately, dear lover's of peace, tolerance, equity, and equality, if the aliens don't come in time to either save us or eat us, we will see a better distribution of wealth  come out of this which will definitely be kinder and friendlier to the planet.   What's left of it, that is.

Feel the Burn yet, people?   You should!

Ing
Dag

On this day in northern Scandinavia, the Festival of the Midnight Sun begins a ten-week-long celebration of daylight that pays homage to Dag, the ancient Norse goddess of the Sun.  This day is also sacred to Ing, male consort of the Earth-mother goddess Nerthus. His rune, the symbol of light, expresses the energy potential of the abundance of summer.

“Nerthus” by Emil Doepler (1905)

Dag, substitute for God?  Why?

Like its equivalent quasi-euphemisms dog and dod, dag is used in a variety of mild oaths as a substitute for God. Typical examples include dag on, dag gone, dag-gum, dag nab and dagnabbit. All may be seen as replacements for Goddam or Godam(m)it.

A Positive Post: A Great Day to be an American!

So, since it is the weekend, I figure I'll only report on the good in the world.  Let's see, the North Korea releasing three US prisoners and now willing to meet with President Trump in June is good.   It's actually great news.

Let's see what else?....

The job market is good.

Housing prices are back to norm.

The Flag Raising Ceremony at Fort Warren near Boston was first conducted on this day in 1861.   It was the first playing of 'John Brown's Body', aka 'The Battle Hymn of the Republic'.  Popularly believed to be a reference to the famous Abolitionist John Brown, the namesake for the song was actually 'John Brown of Boston, a Sergeant at Fort Warren.

Mexican USA war and baby jesus

"We struck at Pullman because we were without hope," says one of the participants in the nationwide Pullman Car Strike that begins on this day in 1894.  George Pullman, owner of a luxurious "sleeping car" for trains,  enacted a fierce, paternalistic control over his workers, working them 16 hours a day and demanding exorbitant rent in the company town.  In the depression of 1893 wages were cut 25-40 percent, but the rents stayed the same.  Earlier this month a group of workers had implored Pullman to redress the situation; he fired three of them.  Gatling guns and federal troops crushed the strike in midsummer.

In 1821, after an eleven-year struggle, Mexico finally won her independence from Spain, ending three centuries of colonial rule.  Mexico at that time was made up of modern-day Mexico, as well as land that is now California, New Mexico, and Texas.  finding it difficult to control the borders of the country from the capital in Mexico City --without a wall that is-- the government allowed US immigrants to settle in the sparsely populated land.  These immigrants, calling themselves Texans, became disillusioned with the Mexican government because, first, it insisted on Catholicism being the state religion, second, it had a policy of settling Spanish peoples in Texas and, third, it abolished slavery.  When the US offered to buy Texas, Mexico said, "No."  And it is here our story begins:  James Polk, 11th President of the United States and his Trump-sized lie; or: How President Polk manipulated Mexico into a war they knew they couldn't win.

Mexico knew it could not win a war with the US.  They had just won their independence from Spain and was still feeling those monetary pains, as well as, just didn't have the number of weapons or soldiers that the US had, and so, any war with the US would have been crazy.   So, how did they end up in a war with US?

False Flag.

To begin with, Texas was still on Mexican soil.  Santa Anna had signed a treaty with the early Texans for personal gain, when he never had the authority or permission from the Mexican government to do.  It is kind of like what the treaty President Obamma did with Iran and how the Republican's in congress now say it isn't a big thing to reneged on now because Congress didn't approve it, and as you know, we did back out and Iran is making weapons again.  President Polk knew this when he sent a small troop of US soldiers led by Ulyssess S. Grant,  into the territory riding high in their horse on a "expedition."   Of course, the larger Mexican army there fired on them and a few soldiers were killed and Polk had his "False Flag" to start a war with Mexico.

As Ulysses S. Grant would recall some years later:  "We were sent to provoke a fight, but it was essential that Mexico should commence it."

A few days later, President Polk gave his False Flag speech:

The cup of forbearance had been exhausted even before the recent information from the frontier of the Del Norte (Rio Grande).  But now, after reiterated menaces, Mexico has passed the boundary of the United States, has invaded our territory and shed American blood upon the American soil.  She has proclaimed that hostilities have comme3nced, and that the two nations are now at war.

In the end, based on this lie, the US got what it wanted:  Texas, New Mexico, Utah, and California, and the map of the USA looks as it does today.

So, boys and girls, next time you hear Donald Trump yell, "Build That Wall,"  thank baby jesus Mexico never did when we were invading their land.

Sad but true.

In German and Swiss folklore, this date marked the first of three feast days of Eisheilige (Ice Saint Days), honoring the saints Mamertius, Pancratius, and Servcais.  These three were known as the Three Chilly Saints because their feast days were most likely to bring a late frost.  Traditionally, it was not safe to plant until the icemen were gone.

Student groups across German carried out a series of book burnings on this day in 1933.  The largest group was 40,000 people who gathered to hear Joseph Goebbels pronounce that "Jewish Intellectualism" is dead.   And it was.  The crowd witnessed the burning of books by Brecht, Einstein, Freud, Mann, and Remaque.

Interesting fact:  one of the books was the works of the Jewish poet Heinrich Heine, who in 1822 wrote the prophetic words:  "Where they burn books, they will in the end, burn human beings."

A painting of Heine by Moritz Daniel Oppenheim
Oddly enough, on this day in 1941 Rudolf Hess, the Deputy Fuhrer of Nazi Germany and close personal friend of Adolf Hitler, parachuted into Scotland from a plane that hem himsefl had been flying.  He was found by a local farmer who Hess told: Take Me To Your Leader!

Yes, the guy was crazy...  or, was he?

Monday Monday

Now, I told you Friday that the Universe will produce something big this 7th day of May, 2018, a Monday.   I'm not sure what that will be, but we will see.   In the meantime, on this day in 1966, the first musical quartet to include two men and two woman, the Mammas and Papas, hit the top of their recording of the song,  Monday, Monday.

In honor of this crazy Monday, here are the lyrics.

Monday Monday
The Mamas & the Papas

Bah-da bah-da-da-da
Bah-da bah-da-da-da
Bah-da bah-da-da-da
Monday, Monday, so good to me
Monday mornin´, it was all I hoped it would be
Oh Monday mornin´, Monday mornin´ couldn´t guarantee
That Monday evenin´ you would still be here with me
Monday, Monday, can´t trust that day
Monday, Monday, sometimes it just turns out that way
Oh Monday mornin´ you gave me no warnin´ of what was to be
Oh Monday, Monday, how could you leave and not take me
Every other day, every other day
Every other day of the week is fine, yeah
But whenever Monday comes, but whenever Monday comes
A-you can find me cryin´ all of the time
Monday, Monday, so good to me
Monday mornin´, it was all I hoped it would be
But Monday mornin´, Monday mornin´ couldn´t guarantee
That Monday…

Was it a UFO?
Hermias Sozomen, in his Ecclesiastical History, notes that "At the time Cyril succeeded Maximus in the government of the church of Jerusalem, the sign of the cross appeared in the heavens:  its radiance was not feeble and divergent like that of comets, but splendid and concentrated.  Its length was about fifteen stadia from Calvary to the Mount of Olives, and its bredth was in proportion to its length.
"So extraordinary a phenomenon excited universal terror."
He also stated it was visible for several days and was brighter than the sun.

Is guilty by association still a thing?

Stormy Daniels Film
So Trump is one-step closer to revealing himself.  In today's news, he admits paying the porn star, Stormy Daniels to keep her mouth shut.  In my book, this makes him guilty of something.  Need more proof Trump is going down, how about this, he has now hired the same attorney that President Clinton used when he got caught fooling-around with an intern.   Is guilty by association still a thing?

No one in their right mind thinks Trump isn't corrupt.   Stating that, "they are all corrupt" is no excuse.  Expect better.  A land of law cannot be run by lawbreakers who believe the law is only to protect their 1% interest.

So they will soon be coming for Trump in handcuffs and just as with Hitler after the fall of the Nazis party and the soldier blamed the failure on everything but Hitler, the 30 percent of y'all supporting Trump will find a reason to disregard the facts and find him a lovable man.
Case in point, on this day in 1945 the Nazis War was ending.  In his book "I Will Bear Witness," Victor Klemperer writes in his journal for May 4th, 1945:

...once again took in two soldiers, unarmed but in uniform, with whom we talked for a long time.  Both in their early twenties, in the army for several years, before that one had been a commercial employee, the other—older, spectacles, more talkative, the dominant one.  I took him to be a primary schoolteacher—a law student in his first semester, but since then a soldier for five years.  Both Sudeten Germans, left their disbanded unit at Dillingen, trying to reach home by way of Ingolstadt, Regensburg.  They had frequently passed Americans, finally some who were riding along the railway track on a trolley, so far unmolested. Yesterday they had listened to a radio, everything, including Berlin, had capitulated, and Hitler was dead.  The student declared: “If anyone had told me that, even four weeks ago, I would have shot him down—but now I don’t believe anything anymore...” They had wanted too much, they had overdone things, there had been atrocities,, the way people had been treated in Poland and Russia, inhuman! “But the Fuhrer probably knew nothing about it,” the Fuhrer was not to blame; they say that Himmler was in charge of the government.  (Still the belief in Hitler, he undoubtedly had a religious effect.) Neither quite believed anymore in the “turning point” and the imminent war between the USA and Russia, but they did a little bit nevertheless.  They were hostile to the SS, which was still fighting.  “In the end they’ll make a bolt for it in civilian clothes and get away.”

Joan of Arc says.... Trump Orwellian Video

May 2nd, 1431 interrogation of Joan Arc

Read on, and then I will answer you.  I look to God, my creator, in all.  I love him with all my heart.

Is that all that you wish to answer now?

I took to my judge--he is King of Heaven and earth.

Do you mean to say that you have no judge on this earth?  Is not our holy father the Pope your judge?

I will not answer further to that.  I have a good master--that is, our Lord--to whom only I look, and to none other.

When I shall have done that for which I am sent from God, I will put on women's clothing.

You will not do what you say against me without suffering for it both in body and soul.
